BlackBerry Thunder, Storm, Apple KillerBoy Genius posted a “Live Shot” of BlackBerry 9500 aka Thunder. Picture shows phone layout. RIM phones known for good, hardware keyboard, so it’s going to be interesting to see what OS keyboard will be feature on this phone, it’s clear that it’s going to be a touchscreen. Touchscreen keyboard can kill or make the phone. Interesting fact, it has pause button on the top, so their headphones won’t be as good as Apple’s :) It’s clear that it will be exclusively from Verizon. BoyGeniusReport

So to you all who love Verizon, and already have contracts with it, and want an Apple iPhone, but don’t want to be AT&T and in a crowd with 100 million iPhone owners of 2008, you may wait for, hmm… for August, to get your BlackBerry Thunder! Yeah, smoking hot phone by RIM, it’s gonna kick iPhone in the nuts. Well that’s a pretty smooth move of RIM. They are betting on getting sales from guys not who like their phones, but the carrier. Because if there would be choice of iPhone and BlackBerry, phones with slightly the same features, iPhone would win. I think it’s not because iPhone will be cheaper, it’s something esle, like, brand? :) I don’t know let’s wait for the keynote from Steve Jobs on 9th of June.

iPhone killer comes, beware Apple!

Blackberry 9000? Promised to come this May, this phone should play a big role for the R.I.M. because since the iPhone their sales have fallen down, plus iPhone is going enterprise - which R.I.M. can’t afford to happen, today’s most “enterprise friendly” phones are Blackberrys.

It’s not going to be a touchscreen as it seems, because R.I.M.’s CEO Mike Lazaridis says:

“It’s hard to type on a piece of glass.”

To me it sounds like:

“It’s hard to type on a piece of shit.”

And you know why? Because Apple is getting a big creamy piece of their pie now, Sad R.I.M., R.I.M. not happy! Here is smartphone sales chart:

Awaited spects are a little better than the iPhone’s, but basically. So let’s wait for it.

P.S. Here is an interesting quote from recent NYT article:

Two independent developers writing software for coming R.I.M. devices say that a touch-screen BlackBerry is in the works, and that R.I.M. engineers privately refer to it as the A.K. — for “Apple Killer.”

P.P.S. Where is Android?
