Samsung i900 Cellphone, No Word From Samsung Yet.
While there is no actual confirmation of this phone, no release date, not a single word about this phone from Samsung, pictures with it are all around the Internet already. This phone is very good, especially Samsung fans will love it. The only disadvantage by far is the lack of physical keyboard, which is a great one considering this is a Windows Mobile phone. Recent photos revealed us some specs:
- 5Mpixel Camera (with autofocus, very good)
- 3,5″ Touchscreen “supposedly” a WQVGA, 400×240 pixels.
- Quad-band, 3G and HSDPA 7.2 Mbits
- Wifi, FM radio, Bluetooth
- 16GB crazy on board memory, and microSD slot.
- Windows Mobile 6.1
No price tag, neither release date, more info here.
New HTC Touch Does Better Windows Mobile UI
After trying some QWERTY-less products, HTC is back to their business, slide-out QWERTY Windows Mobile phones. This HTC Touch Pro, rumored as HTC Raphael. It has HTC Diamond’s back, but less diamondy. New TouchFLO 3D, improved user interface as on the Diamond. Also will have YouTube application and Google Maps app (GPS avaliable). Will come late summer to Europe, Asia and Middle-East. And in 2008 to Latin and North America. It’s very good that HTC is now back to phones with full keyboards, because this is the best thing that suits Windows Mobile. More specs:
- 7.2 Mbps HSDPA
- 512 Mb Storage (internal, microSD slot)
- 2.8″ VGA screen
- 3.2 Mpixel Camera
- GPS, 3G, 8 hours of talk time battery (1350 mAh)

Vista is now with Carrier!
Rogers officially launched HTC Shift, and unique mobile phone / computer that supports Windows Vista. It has a 7 inch touchscreen, 40 Gb HDD, and other stuff that almost all mobiles have, maybe I only have to say about GPS. It’s $1599.99 with 3-year contract. If you consider getting this phone, I would suggest you get an unclocked version over eBay, it will cost you less, but you won’t get GPS and Data support from Carrier.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Release Date Revealed
Today, at Handago Developer newsletter, a lot of people spotted that they are going to release Xperia in mid-september, this year! There was a rumor going on that Xperia will be released next year, now it’s crashed!
Here is the screenshot and link:
Here is the magic line:
The Xperia X1 will launch in mid-September 2008
Well Xperia is a “revolutionary” phone for Sony-Ericsson, it’s first time they are making that powerful smartphone with Windows Mobile as an Operating System. It’s also has exclusive design, full arc-sliding QWERTY keyboard, 800×480 pixel 3inch display, Qualcomm’s 528Mhz CPU and 128Mb of RAM. It looks fantastic to me, but it’s also too big at my opinion. Here you can find some pictures.
First Official Specs of HTC Diamond
On newsmobile.it appeared first specs of HTC Diamond that look official. Well it has high-density display, having 640×480 pixels resolution on screen that is actually smaller than iPhone has. Has 3G, OS: Windows Mobile 6.1
2.8 inch VGA display (640×480 pixel resolution)
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
Quadband GSM/GPRS/Edge and UMTS/HSDPA
3.2 MP camera (autofocus) (No info about video recording)
VGA camera for video calls over 3G
QWERTY keyboard (slideot?)
Qualcomm 528 Mhz Processor (weaker than iPhone has)
4 GB of internal memory plus a MicroSD slot
FM Radio
Accelerometer (Like the one iPhone has to detect position)
Some say this is the most important of the year for HTC, they want to take iPhone market, but while the phone looks pretty nice, all they can hope for is taking over LG Prada :) Display is too small for that kind of pixels. Still no info about the battery.
Windows Mobile? No, Windows Vista on Mobile!
By the end of June, you will be able to enjoy Windows Vista right on your mobile phone, with 1,33GHz Centrino Atom processor and 1GB of RAM. For only $1,526.33
With no special graphic memory, You can ask yourself a question, would Windows Vista make sense on a Mobile Phone with 1GB of RAM? While Phone has a wonderful 5 inch touchscreen, it looks very huge, but you can show off your Vista infront of the guy with HTC and his Windows Mobile 6.1 :)
